The Jackson International Airport is positioned as a major alternate cargo distribution hub with superior air facilities and capabilities. Ground transportation links include two major interstates located 5 miles from the capital city of Jackson, which has been called the "Crossroads of the South".
Currently under construction at JIA is the Mississippi Air Cargo Logistics Center. This is a segmented project that will ultimately provide 450,000 square feet of warehouse space with direct access to four-lane Highway 475 three miles north of I-20.
