A $3.5 million paving project on Mississippi 463 from Mississippi 22 to Mannsdale Road will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday and continue into the fall, MDOT announced Wednesday evening. MDOT crews will intermittently close lanes of 463 daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Crews will level the roadway and repave eight miles 463 to “provide a smoother and safer ride for motorists in this area,” a release said. The contractor awarded the project through the state bid process is APAC Mississippi. Lane closures will be in place weekdays and will be restricted during peak times. Some work may occur on weekends, officials said.
