CANTON – The city is hosting its first job fair in over a decade next Thursday at the National Guard Armory on Highway 51.

The city is patterning with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, WIN Job Center and Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi to connect employers with potential employees.

“I am very proud to partner with the Governor’s Job Fair Network and bring great job opportunities to our Canton community,” Mayor Arnel Bolden said.

“This is the first job fair in Canton in over a decade and participating employers will be actively seeking to fill vacant positions.”

He added, “I encourage everyone to spread the word about this exciting event.”

The Job Fair will be held from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 21 with pre-registered entry at 9 a.m.

There is no admission fee and pre-registration is not required to attend.
