A rebranding initiative was unveiled last week at a 2,000-acre site in Madison County, with Gov. Phil Bryant as guest speaker.

The unveiling occurred during the Madison County Economic Development Authority’s annual Industry Appreciation Celebration.

Formerly known as the Panther Creek Commerce Center, the new Madison Megasite is a shovel-ready piece of property located on Highway 22 near Nissan Parkway.

The Megasite earned Entergy’s Qualified Site certification in 2012 and has been seen by nearly 35 different businesses as a potential area to invest.

“Thanks to Governor Bryant’s leadership, the Walker Family and our partners, we have been able to create an identity for this beautiful site,” said MCEDA Executive Director Tim Coursey. “We are most excited to unveil the new brand and logo in conjunction with our industry appreciation celebration, as there may be opportunities for future expansion of existing businesses into the Madison Megasite.”

Many business and industry leaders and elected officials from around Madison County and the State of Mississippi came out to celebrate those doing business in the area.

“We appreciate our local businesses and industries for all that they do to make Madison County a great place to work, and we take this day to celebrate all they have accomplished,” Coursey added.
