18-wheeler Overturns on MS 43 in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. – An 18-wheeler has overturned on MS 43 one mile south of the Natchez Trace in Madison County.
Butch Hammack with the Madison County Emergency Management says the roadway between that area of the Trace and Highway 471 was shut down following the crash.
The incident happened around 12:35 p.m. on Monday. The driver was traveling northbound and lost control of the tractor trailer and struck the guardrail, causing the truck to overturn.
The 18-wheeler contained auto parts that were going to be delivered at the Nissan Plant.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver received minor injuries.
