A new website was unveiled yesterday for Madison County’s Strategic Economic Development Plan. The site is called “The Road Ahead” and will act as a scorecard to track the County’s progress.
Ed Bee of Taimerica Management Company said: “This website is a tool for providing accountability and transparency to the planning process. The website provides a scorecard for measuring progress that Madison County is making toward achieving the goals in the plan.”
Bee continued: “I want to salute the leaders in Madison County for taking this step. This website and scorecard are the first in Mississippi and one of perhaps 25 scorecards like it in the United States.”
Gerald Steen of the Madison County Board of Supervisors said: “The Strategic Plan website will give citizens of Madison County a platform to participate. Individuals can give input on different categories, such as Transportation or Quality of Life, which will serve as a measuring stick for Madison County’s economic progress.”
Stakeholders include the Madison County Board of Supervisors, the Madison County Foundation and the Madison County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA). The website was designed by Maris, West and Baker and Not Rocket Science, Inc.
